GOOD Ideas for Portland: PSU

During winter 2012, the Design Thinking class at PSU collaborated with the GOOD Ideas for Cities initiative, a partnership between GOOD, CEOs for Cities that is generously supported by ArtPlace.
Students worked to collaboratively to identify, research and tackle urban challenges specific to Portland.
Students attended the Portland GOOD Ideas for Cities event on February 16 as a reference for their own projects. The class then worked to address pressing urban issues and present solutions at a public event.

WHAT Students introduced self-identified urban challenges and presented their design-driven solutions. The evening featured a lecture by Alissa Walker of GOOD about the initiative and her personal work, presented in conjunction with Friends of Graphic Design’s Show and Tell lecture series.
